‘Mission Prohibition’ features many of Glenn Gatsby’s other original compositions, which he produced between 2019 and 2024, and is the perfect summary of those years of hard work that brought Glenn Gatsby recognition, popularity and a warm welcome among the Electro Swing community.

Among them you will find ‘Shadow Hat’ with its catchy theme, the danceable and energetic ‘The Great News’, the joyful and incorporating old samples ‘I Wonder Where’. Your heart will beat harder when you hear those distinctive drum beats in ‘Whats the Reason’, you’ll be warmed up by the brass in ‘Groove Glider’, and with ‘Take It Easy’, you’re sure to get into the groove! 🎺🎶

This album could also not miss tracks produced in collaboration with other respected artists. ‘Parla più piano / In cerca di te’, which Glenn Gatsby created with the band Free Shots in an Electro Swing Mix version, is an Italian idyll and a song with a typically summer vibe. The remix of The Stargazers’ song – “Keep Cool and Carry On” preserved in Swing Hop style – is a fresh dose of positive energy that you will surely add to your playlist of favourite songs. Glenn Gatsby shows us his love of Swing Hop once again – in the track ‘Smoke Rings (Swing Hop Mix)’, which was the result of a fruitful collaboration with the debuting Jive Jack.

Glenn Gatsby has also had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known and appreciated Electro Swing producers. The exquisite, slightly melancholic, with a hint of nostalgia and Swing Hop ‘Marvelous’ is a work created together with LVDS. ‘Don’t Drink and Jive’ is the result of an amazingly effective collaboration with Wolfgang Lohr, who has won the hearts of Electro Swing fans from the very first days of its release thanks to his melodiousness and the frenzy of his wind instruments. 🎷

This Norwegian producer loves to create seasonal tracks, which is why he and Bbop were delighted to produce the fresh ‘Spring Swing’ with elements of Future Swing and the incredibly holiday, Swing Hop and joyful ‘Summer Swing’. 🌸🎉

In addition, Glenn Gatsby has created Electro Swing Mixes of well-known and timeless global hits – ‘Somebodys Watching Me’ and ‘Lovefool’. The latter track was released just prior to the release of the ‘Mission Prohibition’ album. 🌍

Glenn Gatsby – Biography

Within just a matter of years, Norwegian producer Glenn Gatsby has already become one of the most sought-after members of the Electro Swing family. The Oslo native plays the piano, trumpet and the trombone and loves to incorporate elements of classic Swing music into his captivating Swing House, Neo Swing and Swing Hop productions.

His greatest success so far, is part of the latter: “Posin”, has earned him more than 1.5 million plays on Spotify and has been critically acclaimed by listeners all over the world, ever since its release in 2020. Collaborating on hit after hit with various fellow musicians and working closely with the Electro Swing Thing Label, the young artist is literally living through his very own “Roaring Twenties.”
