Biography – MOIRA

With her solo project MOIRA, Carola Wirth does not set any limits. She experiments with a number of styles, from pop, folk to chanson, and writes her own songs in French and English. The common thread is her voice, which is sometimes gentle, sometimes powerful, pulling the listener under its spell. She tells her stories with a lot of passion and accompanies herself on various instruments.

A year ago she completed a two-year master’s degree in music education with distinction at the ZHdK. Since then she has been working as a singing teacher, coaching a band workshop for young women from Helvetia, rocks, and plays in various bands.

She recently made a small guest appearance as keyboard player with the dialect pop band Hecht at this year’s SMA (Swiss Music Awards, SRF). At the moment she is mainly busy with the production and release of two new MOIRA albums.
