Biography – Vero Nouk

Vero Nouk moves around between catchy melodies, acoustic guitar sounds and influences of folk and jazz. She writes her soulful, sometimes ironically tinged lyrics in English, French and German. Close and personal, she shares thoughts and stories that move her. If you’d wanna describe her sound with a drink…it’d be an oat milk-Cappuccino.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter is originally from southern Germany and moved to Berlin in 2021 after studying music in Freiburg.

Her EP “in spite of dim light…” was released on 29 April 2022 and consists of a variety of colourful songs that combine an organic band sound, electronic sounds and a slightly melancholic, soulful vibe. Through versatile projects in genres such as bossanova, gypsy jazz and soul, she gains stage experience and creates a palette of musical styles that she uses according to her mood.

Roman Andor Krotil’s THE SOULMATE PROJECT is a tasty music cocktail that pairs modern beats with decades of vintage music sounds. Starting out as an award-winning remixer for acts like AJR, Umphrey’s McGee, and Work Drugs, the producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist creates a nostalgic yet fresh sound experience.

In 2021 he released his debut album “Vintage Revisited” with songs ranging from jazzy Lo-fi Beats, over Funk to typical Electro-Swing sounds whilst collaborating with different singers. His newest release “La Femme Jolie” is mixing beautiful chanson influences with modern Swing house and soothing vocals by Might be Vero.
