Review: Electro Swing 2 – Swing into Christmas

Hello Swingers!
I have just received an Electro Swing compilation album from Per Ebdrup from Swing Republic. It’s a special Christmas release!
I have listened to the whole compilation and there are some really good tracks in it. Quite refreshing! Christmas 2013 is coming… Put on your dancing shoes!
Wobblin basslines, sharp beats and tons of retro melodies… Swing Republic is one of the best Electro Swing producers and he proves it one more time with this quality album. There are some good producers around working on the album. Among them Gauzz and Jazzbox.
It’s not a boring cheesy album at all like most of these Christmas “only made to sell” often are…

I want you for christmas / vildbas feat. Mae questal
A super groovy hip hop quality bomb. Staring Mae Questral a.k.a. Betty Boop. One of my favorites on the album. It reminds of the magnificent Drum Boogie by Swing Republic. It’s really a perfect tune and it has been approved on the dancefloor already!

I’ve got my love to keep me warm / gauzz feat. Billie holiday
I like this track for 2 reasons: As far as I can remember I’ve always been in love with Billie Holiday. Cool and easy. This is the kind of track Woddy Allen could select for one of his movies…

What will santa say when he finds everyone swinging / bob zuga feat. Louis prima
This 4 to the floor production is a bomb! I like how samples are sequenced. Simple and well working… check out the nice video below.
