Little Violet – Silent Movie EP (Freshly Squeezed)

Featuring title track Silent Movie, Limits, Playing With Fire and Swinging Melodies. The EP pushes the boundaries of Contemporary jazz introducing modern production techniques whilst maintaining authenticity. The Silent Movie EP is going to be proceeded by remixes from the Jamie Berry, Odd-Chap and Pisk.

Little Violet is back! As part of the first wave of electro swing artists she had some initial success with her debut single on Cuckoo Records (Leeds) a start-up label created with song-wrtiting royalties from a team that were part of the hugely successful Xenomania stable (Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Britney Spears etc).

Although taking a long break from releasing music, Little Violet continued gigging as a band in the interim, touring European clubs and festival stages with events like White Mink and Party Like Gatsby. In the years since her debut the scene expanded and matured enormously, but very few artists emerged that could match the song-writing skills of Cherie Gears and Oliver Norman as Little Violet

Testament to this is the fact the original songs popularity has continued to grow since release and has therefore stood some kind of test of time. Indeed Little Violets won Best Pop Track at the Production Music Awards 2018 (a PRS sponsored event celebrating the worlds most talented composers.)

Returning now in 2019 with four new and brilliantly written electro swing compositions due to set her back at the top of the jazz sub genre genre. Little Violet’s new music has been hotly anticipated since her signing to Freshly Squeezed was announced with several well established artists in the scene lining up to remix her (including Jamie Berry, PiSk & Odd Chap)
