DJ Weide

DJ Weide (Jens Weidenheimer) is a professional drummer and producer from Heidelberg. He studied drums and still teaches drums at a music school near Heidelberg.
Jens started his musical career as a drummer in a local Punk Rock Band that only played own material. Over the years he has toured all over Europe with various bands from different genres, among others as a permanent member of Blood Sugar Sex Magic (Germany’s best Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute Band), Ngobo Ngobo (Ska), played the German tour with B 3 (US Boyband) 2003 and Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) 2011, just to name a few. Besides drumming, Jens has always been involved in the studio productions and songwriting of his own projects and started DJ-ing and expanding his home studio.

After he started dancing Lindy Hop for fun, this awakened his passion for swing music, and in 2019 he founded the Swing Band “The Splanky 6”. Due to the Corona pandemic all gigs were cancelled, so Jens used the time in his studio and the first Electro Swing Remix was created, released by Electro Swing Thing.

Since the 2nd single until now Jens has been working with the female Singer Bonny Bee, who have previously played together with the Ska Band Ngobo Ngobo for a long time and of course the musicians of his Swing Band “The Splanky 6”.
