Kelli Brock
Kelli is a native of Thousand Oaks, California where she started dance class at the age of 4. The daughter of a jazz musician and a costume/wardrobe designer, Kelli was exposed to music and art at an early age. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, theatre dance and hip hop and performed at regional and national competitions with Bobbie’s School of Performing Arts dance company. Kelli continued her education at Oklahoma City University where she majored in Dance Performance and Arts Management and performed with the American Spirit Dance Company.
After college Kelli signed with dance agency Bobby Ball in Los Angeles and Pacific Model and Talent in Beverly Hills and worked all over the world dancing and acting in a variety of shows and musicals. Some include: Holland America Cruise Lines, The Drew Carey Show, The Bold and the Beautiful, the Disney film Camp Nowhere,Tokyo DisneySea, the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, ballerina/dove in the music video Megalomaniac by Incubus, the burlesque show Queen Bees at Vamp the Lounge on the famous Queen Mary ship, Perfect 10 Starring Adrian Zmed in Vegas and Reno, toured with comedian and magician Chris Mitchell in the Balkans and across Europe on military bases for the troops in 2006. Kelli was also recruited into the group Harlottique, a burlesque show produced by Tone Loc that performed in night clubs across Los Angeles and was the opening act for Eddie Van Halen at The House of Petals in Beverly Hills and many many more!
After her daughter was born, Kelli switched from performing to teaching dance at studios in Los Angeles and Ventura County for over 10 years. Then in 2019, she was cast in two musicals, A Chorus Line and Cabaret, and found herself on stage again after a decade. At the end of 2019 she was inspired to try shuffle dance and post on social media for the first time, which led her to electro swing and she fell in love with the music. “Electro swing reminds me of my childhood and my dad playing trumpet and saxophone with his band, the jazz festivals and concerts he took me to and leaving jazz music on for the cats when nobody was home! It’s nostalgia with a dance beat and its genius!” Kelli still considers herself a student of the style and is honored to be among the dancers that inspired her to try it.
Currently, Kelli stays busy as the House and Concessions Manager for a professional theatre, homeschooling her daughter, driving her to ice skating lessons every week, care taking responsibilities for an elderly family member with dementia and caring for pets! She looks forward to finding time to herself to get lost in the rhythm whenever she can!
