Well, all good things usually come to an end quickly, the holidays have flown by all too quickly again. Luckily, I’m back now and I’m here to present you with the most important Electro Swing News of July! 😊 Don’t think to yourself that Electro Swing artists are on holiday all summer – many are touring heavily and others are releasing lots of singles. Can’t go to a gig or festival? Remember that listening to their tunes at home is also an invaluable support you give to your favourite artists! 😊

Quick Electro Swing News

In July, Electro Swing Thing published my first playlist – LadyDot’s Musical Journey. I put it together especially for you, my dear listeners, so that you can be inspired by my musical discoveries. On this playlist you will find mainly Electro Swing, but also funk, French electronic music and some pop. I hope there is something for everyone on LadyDot’s Musical Journey playlist. It’s up to 100 different tracks and almost 6 hours of fantastic music!

This summer I managed to go to France for the Cri de la Goutte festival, where the band Jive Me performed. And I have to tell you that this energy, this emotion and above all this excellent music sounds even better live! The band presented their best songs from their latest album ‘Welcome to the World’. Electro Swing Dances are gaining huge popularity on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok! Now it’s high time for them to get more views on YouTube! 😊 I am so happy to see that the number of likes and views of Electro Swing Dance videos is growing every month. Some dancers have several hundred thousand and some even several million views of their videos! This means that our community is no longer just about music. It’s also the dancing, which perfectly illustrates what Electro Swing is all about – energetic, inspiring, connecting people from all corners of the world! Well, maybe it’s a good time for an interview with any of the Electro Swing dancers? What do you guys think?

Electro Swing Single Releases – July 2023

July surprised me a lot, because I didn’t expect so many releases. And so many good ones! Just look at how many fantastic remixes were released. And I think the fashion for remixes will continue. I’m very happy about that, because often Electro Swing artists who have gained a lot of listeners can, with remixes, help those artists or bands who are just starting to make a name for themselves in the Electro Swing world.

My Top 3 Electro Swing Tracks – July 2023

Speaking of July, of course among my top three most listened to Electro Swing songs, there could be no shortage of songs by French artists and bands. I listened to Dimaa most often again this month, silently hoping for his big comeback. 😊

1. Dimaa – “The Way of Life” – I will always associate this song with Eurotrip 2023 and going to France. 😊

Anna (LadyDot) was born in ’94, but always felt she came from the Golden Twenties. “Polka” in Polish means “girl from Poland”, so she’s “Polka in polka dots”. She loves vintage style and spontaneous travels around Europe. But her greatest love (apart from her husband) is of course music, especially Electro Swing, Funk, Swing Hop and French Electronic Music.

Anna works at a Polish music label, where she coordinates the physical production of CDs and vinyl records. Music is therefore not only her passion, but also her job!
